THE FOUNTAIN OF LI NOVI CANNOLA

In Racalmuto, a town rich with water, there are many fountains; the most important are the "funtana di lu raffu" and the "funtana di li novi cannola”. The latter is located downstream from town, in the middle of the Square with the same name, overlooked by the Chiaramontano Castle. The fountain was built in 1847 and is formed by a rectangular tank, originally used as a trough for the cattle, and a round tank used to wash the clothes.
