Archaeological Museums of Caltanissetta – Gibil Gabib – Vassallaggi
The itinerary is a way to learn about the most significant aspects of the settlements before the arrival of the Greeks in the area, and their position in an environment very different from the coastal one.
We start from the Archaeological Museum of Caltanissetta, born with the purpose to recount the ancient history of the surrounding territory. After the visit, we reach the archaeological area of Gibil Gabib, south of the city, through Provincial Highway (SP) 134. After the visit to the Hellenised indigenous hamlet, we return to Caltanissetta where we take Provincial Highway 29 to San Cataldo; State Highway 122 to Serradifalco; enter Provincial Highway 33 in Pozzillo, between San Cataldo and Serradifalco. The Euro Park is less than 2km away, in Roccella, followed by the archaeological site.
