Maccalube of Aragona – Monte San Paolino Sutera
This itinerary is based on a landscaping suggestion. The two ends of the trip are places very different between them; for this reason, they are somehow representative of the innate diversity of the Mining District. We start from the famous Maccalube of Aragona, small volcanoes of cold mud that must be seen, although in compliance with all the local safety measures. The show is guaranteed. From Aragona, via State Highway 189, we reach Sutera, an incredible place for those who don’t know it. Its embrace with Monte San Paolino is worth alone the visit: the excursion on the mountain, especially when skies are clear, will leave you breathless, completing with a look over the whole of Sicily the experience started in Aragona.
