The Sagra of the ricotta and of the typical products
The Sagra of the ricotta cheese and of the typical products is held in Marianopoli every year during the Christmas period, since its first edition in 1993. It is a special chance to taste the typical local products surrounded by a unique atmosphere, with installations, Nativity scenes and decorations. Among the feast’s typical products, we mention the tuma and the ricotta, which are prepared by the shepherds and served for free, still piping hot. Another typical dish is the “cicitara”, which is a chickpea soup.
