Archaeological Area Eraclea Minoa – Valley of the Temples – Kolymbethra Gardens
We can say that this itinerary is twice a classic, because it suggests three sites of classical antiquity, and because some of them are very famous. The itinerary starts from Eraclea Minoa, whose archaeological area overlooking the sea is amazing. The site is so close to the sea that you’ll have to take a refreshing swim. Then, it follows State Highway 115 towards Agrigento for 38 km, and reaches the famous Valley of the Temples, with the sea on one side, and the countryside and Agrigento on the other. Hidden behind the Temples, we find Kolymbethra, a magic citrus tree orchard, with heaps of secrets to unveil. It is by the Fondo Ambiente Italiano .
